When Hershey came to us, we only asked that he would get along with cats; as you can see by the napping photograph, he and Junior became fast friends. Hershey stepped up to serve as guide dog for our other cocker, Mischief, who was blind and deaf. They raided the cereal cabinet together a few times, and there was that one very special day when Uncle Jim accidentally dropped the Tres Leches cake.
My favorite times with Hershey were at the dog park, where he would systematically round up all the tennis balls and collect them in a pile. He was such a good dog, and so handsome, and we only wish we could have had more time with him. He was diagnosed with metastatic hemangiosarcomas in June, but we are blessed that he had a full, active life up until the very end.
We also want to thank Rick and Allie for the time they cared for Hershey.
We love you and miss you, Hershey-boy.
