Mischief (formerly Pearl)
June 4, 2014

When my mother became bedridden, and I needed to spend more time at home, I went to adopt a Cocker Spaniel for companionship and to get out of the house for walks and peace of mind. When we met Pearl, she was blind, deaf and wearing diapers, but we instantly fell in love with her. We became convinced that she could actually hear a candy wrapper from 30 feet away, and very soon renamed her Mischief.

She offered so much solace to our family during my mother's illness, and my mom loved having her in the room for companionship. And though it quickly became clear that Mischief had a bad heart and was not well, she hung in there and didn't pass away until about a week after our mother's passing. She was loyal to the end and we will always love her. She was one of the prettiest dogs I have ever known.
